DAY 1 Arrival at Casablanca airport
Upon arrival, you will find our driver and guide who will escort you to your hotel for check in, tonight, do things at your pace, enjoy dinner at the hotel, hit the spa and save your energy for tomorrow, you have a long day ahead.
DAY 2 Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier
Casablanca is a modern city with a blend of Moorish and European décor and architecture. Once arrived, your guide will take you to the gigantic Hassan II mosque standing on top of the Atlantic ocean. Lunch at Rick’s Café and then walk around the malls to discover some contemporary Moroccan products and designs. After lunch, we will head to an orientation visit of RABAT. Learn Rabat’s history and enjoy its majestic domes, minarets, the green parks and long funky boulevards. Follow your guide to the Almohad northern walls of the Oudaïa Kasbah. Then we head north to the city harbouring two oceans, the atlantic and the mediterrenean.
DAY 3 TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN – FES
Have a royal continental breakfast at your hotel before you take a walk by the beautiful coastal boulevard of Tangier which looks like you’re in a Florida beach town. Tangier is an international city. Today it is a rapidly growing economical hub for multinational businesses. Walk to the “Lazy Wall” to have a stunning panoramic view of Gibraltar and Tarifa on the other side. Spain is just 14 Kms away. Then we start your roadtrip to the Atlas mountains in the direction of Chefchaouen where you have your lunch. The whole town screams blue: the buildings, the blue washed streets, even the stairs and the steep cobled lanes are painted every shade of blue. In the main square you will find one of the oldest Kasbahs in Morocco dating in the 15th century, a fortress and dungeon as well as an Ethnographic Museum to give you a taste of the history of this marvel. After a cup of tea overlooking the magnificent Atlas, we will head to Fes for an overnight and dinner.
DAY 4 FES SIGHTSEEING
Good morning, sip your coffe on your terrace overlooking the majestic medina walls and the Atlas Mountains. We start today by an outdoor visit of the Royal Palace, also the Jewish Quarter and its houses with forged iron balconies. Then, you will visit the magnificient Bab Boujeloud, Mellah, Then, into the medina and the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University founded by a Muslim woman. The University opened its doors in 859. After a fabulous Moroccan lunch, we head back to the souk and markets. At your own pace search out bargains and buy souvenirs. Spend the evening in a Moroccan spa, enjoy hammam, a massage and relax. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 5 FES - MERZOUGA
Afer breakfast, it's off to the desert. The journey through the mountains of the Middle Atlas is nothing less than spectacular. We pass through some of the most beautiful stretches of cedar and hazel born in Morocco and some of Morocco's most important rivers. Landscapes around the area of Azrou, Ifrane, are popular for winter sports. The area is known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." We stop in Midelt and then proceed to Merzouga. When you arrive in Erfoud, the desert is upon us. But it is the immense dunes of Erg Chebbi, near the oasis of Merzouga, that will impress you the most. This is the true desert, the one where the annual rainfall is below 100 millimeters. This is the place where, oasis apart, nothing grows, nothing moves. Aside from the wind modeling an ever-changing horizon. We leave the car at the end of the paved road, and meet with our camels to take us to our luxury desert camp for the evening. Dine in the light of the fire, and be bedazzled by a desert sky of trillions of stars.
DAY 6 MERZOUGA
Wake up like a nomad at sunrise and enjoy the the golden dunes. Have a majestic breakfast under the Sahara sun. Take this day for your self at your own pace and enjoy the incredible luxury of your exclusive camp. Go downhill sandboarding. Ride quads or 4x4s. Enjoy lunch with a nomad family under their tents and in the evening have a candle lit dinner under another majestic sky and a milkyway so clode it feels like you could reach out and touch it.
DAY 7 MERZOUGA – OUARZAZATE
Today, after breakfast on golden sands, we will head west in the direction of Ouarzazate. You can see the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios the largest and most famous film studios in all of Africa. Then we head to Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where we stop for lunch. This village built entirely of adobe, namely straw and mud, was included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. It is also very popular with Hollywood choosing it to film international movies such as Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, and many more. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.
DAY 8 OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
Today, after breakfast we head in the direction of Ouarzazate. You can see the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios if you haven’t had the time yesterday. From here, you can stop at the oasis of Fint, a few kilometresfrom Ouarzazate. We then continue on the road of Tizin'Tichka stopping for lunch in a smallvillage. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 9 MARRAKECH MONUMENTS
Today after breakfast, we will go back in time to discover the mysteries of this amazing Red City. We will start at the Bahia Palace, known for its incredible gardens, built in the 19th century, built to be one of the greatest palaces of its time from which derives the name Bahia: Brilliance. We will continue our time travel through the Medina walls in the direction of the highest building in Marrakech. The Kououbia Mosque, known as the mosque of the booksellers. Follow your guide through the minarets while he explains to you the history of this marvel. Next we head to the Koranic school Ben Youssef, named after the Almoravid Sultan who made Marrakech a well-known place worldwide. This school is the largest Madrassa in all Morocco. Once done, we will head to the Jewish Mellah to shop for the best leather and pottery Morocco can offer. Later we head for tea at sunset to enjoy the golden views of the Jamaa El Fna Square.
DAY 10 MARRAKECH GARDENS
Today travel like a king and queen in your horse carriage around the city and visit the famous Majorelle Gardens, known internationally. Walk around the cactus trees and visit the museum to discover the berber heritage of the country. Once done, head for the Menara gardens and enjoy a first class lunch overlooking the Marrakchi city life. Head back to your hotel for a 5-star dinner and overnight.
DAY 11 DEPARTURE
Seems like your holiday is over and we definitely will expect you again for a grand tour of our beautiful Morocco. Depending on your flight, we will escort you to the airport on time and wish you a safe flight back home.
