DAY 1 Arrival in Casablanca airport
Once arrived, you will find our driver and guide who will escort you to your hotel for check in. After, we discover Casablanca, the economical hub of Morocco. Unlike in the movie, Casablanca is a modern city with a blend of Moorish and European décor and architecture. You will visit the Hassan II Mosque built on the rugged Atlantic Ocean. Lunch at Rick’s Café, and then walk around the malls to discover some contemporary Moroccan products and designs. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 2 CASABLANCA – RABAT
After your breakfast, we will head to RABAT. Learn Rabat’s history and enjoy its majestic domes, minarets, the green parks and long funky boulevards. Follow your guide to the Almohad northern walls of the Oudaïa Kasbah. The kasbah was built by the reign of the Almohads Dynasty to protect the city. Visit Bab Oudaïa, a majestic gate that gives you a taste of the Almohads architecture. After lunch in a hip Rabati restaurant, we will discover the Musee de Oudaïa, MoulayIsmaïl’s Palace exhibiting collections of Moroccan folk art then make our way to the Medina of the Capital. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 3 RABAT – FES
Today we head to the ancient city of Fes. After checkin at your Riad, we start by an outdoor visit of the Royal Palace, also the Jewish Quarter and its houses with their unique, forged iron balconies. Then, you will visit the magnificient Bab Boujeloud and Mellah. Lunch is at a typical Fessi restaurant to discover the cuisine of the region. Then we head back for a Moroccan and spa treatment to relax and take life at your own pace before decovering more of Fes tomorrow.
DAY 4 FES SIGHTSEEING
Good morning, sip your coffe on your terrace overlooking the majestic medina walls and the Atlas Mountains. Then, you will visit the ancient Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, founded by a Muslim woman. The University opened its doors in 859. Fes is surrounded with a large wall from the medieval Marinid era, vibrant souks and medina streets almost like a labyrinth. Your guide will take you to visit one of the biggest tanneries in the country, still using traditional methods. The rooftop of the tanneries offers a panoramic view of the Medina and the surrounding mountains. Then, it's off to discover the pottery factories onfoot; the souk, the square and the Nejjarine Fountain, and outdoor views of the Karaouyine Mosque in the heart of the Medina. The narrow streets are busy and you’ll need to watch out for the donkeys at every turn. Dinner and overnight at your hotel
DAY 5 MEKNES – VOLUBILIS
Today for our excursion we head to Morocco’s most preserved Roman town Volubilis .Which dates back to the 300 B.C therefore, it has been considered the oldest Moroccan cities according to the excavations discovered there, and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The next stop in our expedition will be the nearby MoulayIsmael Mausoleum, the holiest site that holds a special value in the hearts of the Moroccan people, it was the place where MoulayIsmael settled after bringing the Religion of Islam from the east. Later on, we will move to Meknes, also called the “Moroccan Versailles”. It is an imperial city with a Spanish-Moorish architecture, surrounded by huge stone walls with ancient historic doors. We head back to Fes for your dinner and hotel.
DAY 6 FES – MERZOUGA
Bright and early we leave for the desert. We journey through the mountains of the Middle Atlas, that showcases some of the most beautiful stretches of cedar and hazel born in Morocco and most important rivers too. Azrou and Ifrane are popular for winter sports. This are a is known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." We stop in Midelt and then proceed to Merzouga. When we arrive in Erfoud, the desert is upon us. But it is at the feet of the grandest sand dune of all - Erg Chebbi, near the oasis of Merzouga that you will feel truly arrived. Thi is the true desert, the one where the annual rainfall is below 100 millimeters. This is the place where, oasis apart, nothing grows, nothing moves. Aside from the wind modeling a forever changing horizon. Camels will take us to a well-equipped and guarded luxury camp site, where you can dine in the light of the fire, and take tea under a starry sky. Sleeping in our luxury tents with full ensuite is almost a sin, to turn off the light on the most beautiful starry night, but the comfort and warmth of our Moroccan designed tents will beckon and pamper you.
DAY 7 MERZOUGA
Wake up like a nomad at sunrise and enjoy the the golden dunes. Have a majestic breakfast under the Sahara sun, take this day at your own pace and enjoy the incredible luxury of your exclusive camp. Go downhill sandboarding. Ride quads or 4x4s. Enjoy lunch with a nomad family under their tents and in the evening have a candle lit dinner under the majestic milkyway galaxy.
